From the beginning on it was the task of the LKZ Prien GmbH to win competent companies from the areas logistics and tourism in order to encourage cooperation between industry and science .
The Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund accompanies the LKZ Prien GmbH since its inception as a scientific partner and in Prien with a special project Center Traffic, Mobility and Environment. The University of Rosenheim offers since the year 2000 a major field of study in “logistics”. Many students from other colleges and universities, have completed her internship in LKZ since or they have written their bachelor or master thesis in cooperation with the LKZ or even became employees.

In addition, the LKZ Prien GmbH manages the building (center). Thus, it provides an attractive location in the region, where others spend their holidays.
The LKZ Prien GmbH is also an interesting partner in terms of neutrality and stability. By public shareholders in the privately aligned GmbH the neutrality is ensured. The shareholders are the district of Rosenheim and the market town Prien. Supervisory board chairman is the Rosenheim District Administrator Otto Lederer, his deputy is the Mayor of Prien Andreas Friedrich.
