AlpFRail intensifies activities in the west-net
Chamber of commerce of Munich and Upper Bavaria and Italian chamber of commerce organized excursion to Genova harbour |
During a excursion to the harbour of Genova organized by the chambers of commerce of Munich and Upper Bavaria and of Italy, Karl Fischer, general manager of the Logistik-Kompetenz-Zentrum and project manager of the European project AlpFrail could intensify together with Julian Osswald, work package manager for pilot trains, the activities in the western net.
The delegation of 20 persons from Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg travelled from Munich Airport to Genova. There the participants could inform themeselves about the organization and the infrastructure and could win new insights for the project AlpFRail.
It is considered as remarkable that almost no transports on rail are existing via the Alps although the harbour has a turnover of almost 1.6 million TEU.
A precise working group was arranged for the solution of the problem.
